The five documented categories
The PlayStation Store accessibility panel groups the game's options into five categories. The table lists what each category contains.
| Category | Options listed |
|---|---|
| Visual | Large Text; Colour Alternatives |
| Audio | Volume Controls; Mono Audio |
| Subtitles | Subtitles (Advanced); Large Subtitles |
| Controls | Adjustable Stick Sensitivity (Basic); Adjustable Stick Inversion (Basic); playable without adaptive trigger resistance |
| Gameplay | Adjustable Difficulty (Basic); Tutorial Reminders; Game Pausing; Manual Saving |

Visual and subtitle options
Large Text enlarges menu and heads-up display text, and Colour Alternatives lets important colours be changed so that information does not depend on telling two similar colours apart. That second item is the colourblind accommodation, and a PC review also mentions a colourblind filter in the graphics menu.
Subtitles are marked as advanced, which the storefront defines as spoken dialogue being fully subtitled rather than partially covered. Large Subtitles increases the subtitle font size. Because there is only one audio language, subtitles carry the dialogue for every non-English player, so subtitle sizing matters more here than in a game with dubs.
The full language breakdown, including which of the eight supported languages have voice acting, is on the languages page.

Audio options
Volume Controls allow individual audio volumes to be turned down or muted, and Mono Audio outputs the same signal from each speaker for listeners using one earpiece or a single speaker.
On PC the settings expose separate sliders for music, sound effects, dialogue and interface volume, and the audio system supports surround output alongside subtitles. Closed captions are not supported, which is a meaningful gap: spoken lines are subtitled, but non-speech audio is not captioned.
Not the same thing: subtitles and closed captions are listed separately in PC settings references, and only subtitles are marked as supported. If you depend on captions for non-speech audio, plan around their absence.
Controls and gameplay
Stick sensitivity and stick inversion are both adjustable at a basic level, and the game can be played without the adaptive resistance of the triggers, which matters on a DualSense controller. The storefront does not list remapping, so treat custom button layouts as unconfirmed.
On the gameplay side, difficulty is adjustable at a basic level, tutorial information can be reviewed at any time, the game can be paused, and saving is manual. Manual saving is the one that changes how you play rather than how you configure, and the difficulty page covers how the presets interact with it.
PC display and audio settings
PC settings references describe a normal graphics and audio menu rather than an accessibility menu. The relevant points are display and audio flexibility, and one notable limitation.
- Ultrawide resolutions and 4K are supported.
- Borderless windowed mode is available alongside exclusive fullscreen.
- Upscaling options include TSR, FSR 3, XeSS 2 and DLSS 4.
- Field of view cannot be changed natively and is listed as hackable, meaning a mod is required.
- Separate music, sound effects, dialogue and interface volume sliders are present.
- Closed captions are not supported.
A PC review notes that the settings menu is sparse overall, with a colourblind filter present but many common options missing. That is a reviewer's assessment rather than an official list, and it is consistent with the picture above: the accessibility statement lives on the console storefront, not in the PC menu.
The storefront contradiction
The PlayStation Store entry for the game lists "Playable without Subtitles" with the explanation that the game does not include spoken dialogue. That explanation is incorrect: the campaign has a fully voiced cast, led by Xalavier Nelson Jr. as Aidan Lynch and Doug Bradley returning as Pinhead.
The listing was captured as published, and the contradiction is reported here rather than silently dropped. Treat that one line as a storefront error and rely on the advanced-subtitle marking, which states the opposite and matches the voice cast.
The cast and its role in the story are covered on the story page.
What is not covered
The Xbox and Switch 2 accessibility lists were not captured, so no claim is made about their contents. It is likely that at least the difficulty, pause and subtitle options carry across, but that is an expectation rather than a documented fact.
There is also no publisher accessibility page. The features exist, and the storefront is the only place the publisher lists them, which is why this page leads with the storefront rather than a first-party document. Settings can be added or removed in patches, so re-check the storefront listing if a feature matters to you.
Frequently asked questions
What accessibility options does the game have?
The PlayStation Store lists five categories: visual (large text, colour alternatives), audio (volume controls, mono audio), subtitles (advanced subtitles, large subtitles), controls (stick sensitivity and inversion, playable without adaptive trigger resistance) and gameplay (adjustable difficulty, tutorial reminders, pausing, manual saving).
Is there a colourblind mode?
Yes, in effect. The storefront lists Colour Alternatives, which lets important colours be changed so information does not depend on distinguishing similar colours, and a PC review mentions a colourblind filter.
Does the game have closed captions?
No. PC settings references list subtitles as supported and closed captions as not supported, so non-speech audio is not captioned.
Can I remap the controls?
Stick sensitivity and stick inversion are adjustable, but the storefront does not list button remapping, so treat custom layouts as unconfirmed.
Can I change the difficulty after starting?
Difficulty is adjustable, and the storefront marks it as a basic option. The difficulty page covers how the presets work with the manual save system.
Are these options on Xbox and Switch 2?
Not captured. Only the PlayStation Store list was available, so no claim is made about the other console storefronts.
